NZX Announcement - Environment Court decision appeal

NZ Windfarms Limited ("NWF") advises that having conducted its initial review of the recent Envrionment Court decision it has determined that it will take the following actions.

It has decided to lodge an appeal against one aspect of the Envrironment Court decision following advice from its legal experts that it has reasonable grounds for appeal (specifically against Declaration 1.9).

Notwithstanding the decision to appeal and the legal process, NWF intends to initiate a meeting as soon as practicable with the Palmerston North City Council (and others as appropriate) to work constructively through the matters beng raised with a view to developing options for resolving the issues that have led to this circumstance. NWF would like to ensure that the Te Rere Hau wind farm's operations contribute positively to the community and are fully compliant with their resource consent conditions.

Further announcements will be made when the review of the decision is complete.
