NZX Announcement - Operation and Maintenance Deed Rights - 14 October 2011

NZ Windfarms Limited("NWF") advises it is aware that Windflow Technology Limited ("WTL") has called a Special Meeting of Shareholders to consider the appointment of liquidators of WTL. The calling of this meeting triggers certain rights under the previously announced O&M Deed.

Among other things, NWF may exercise an option to acquire TRH Services Limited, the entity that operates and maintains NWF's Te Rere Hau wind farm. In addition, NWF has rights with respect to supplier warranties and intellectual property of WTL necessary for the operation and maintenance of the WF500 turbine fleet.

NWF is considering their position with respect to the exercise of these rights and will advise further when a final determination has been made.
