Julian Elder

Dr Julian Elder (Chairman)

Dr Julian Elder was appointed effective from 28 April 2014. Julian has a Bachelor of Engineering (First Class Honours) and Ph.D. from Auckland University and is a Chartered Professional Engineer (NZ International Register of Professional Engineers).

Julian has a wide range of local and international management experience and seven years as a Utility Chief Executive. Julian has had extensive involvement in infrastructure businesses, having worked in the electricity and water/wastewater sectors.

Julian is a Director of Strada, a civil contracting business owned by the Waikato District Council, the Chair of Soda Inc which is the Business Incubator in Hamilton, a Trustee of the Animal Welfare Foundation and has been appointed to the Honours Committee at the University of Waikato.


Simon Mackenzie

Simon Mackenzie

Simon Mackenzie is Group Chief Executive Officer of Vector Limited.  He has extensive experience in the energy and telecommunication sectors, including strategy, regulation, network management, information technology and the energy market.  In addition, Simon has been heavily involved in many of the industry's reforms, both at a policy and a business level.

Simon also has construction and consultancy experience both in New Zealand and overseas.  He has tertiary qualifications in engineering, finance and business studies, and has completed the Advanced Management Program at Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.


Stuart Bauld

Stuart Bauld

Stuart Bauld is a Chartered Accountant and a former partner of PwC and is presently a self-employed consultant providing services to private clients, principally related to governance, financial structures and general investment matters.

He has extensive experience in audit and corporate finance, and has governance experience in both private and charitable organisations.

Rodger Kerr-Newell

Rodger Kerr-Newell

Rodger Kerr-Newell has extensive senior management and governance experience in both the public and private sector. He is a past Chief Executive of Hutt City Council, New Plymouth District Council, Rodney District and Taranaki Investment Managers Ltd, and is a former board member of Business NZ.

He brings key strengths in strategy, financial management, cost cutting and knowledge of local government regulatory processes to NZ Windfarms Limited.
